Motive Partners’ Alastair Lukies CBE to speak at FinTech Investor Forum

Motive Partners founding partner Alastair Lukies CBE is the next guest speaker to be announced for the FinTech Investor Forum in London on November 8.

Lukies will speak alongside a number of other distinguished banking CEOs and heads of innovation on the Bank Innovation panel. The event brings together 100 FinTech investment firms and financial institutions with CEOs of successful FinTech startups and scale-ups.

Alastair Lukies has served in the financial services for over 13 years having worked with financial institutions, investors and regulators.

Founded in 2016, Motive Partners is an investment firm focused on the FinTech companies, with an aim of investing, operating and innovating across the ecosystem. Earlier this year the firm invested into market analytics platform LMRKTS.

In 2014, Lukies was awarded with a CBE for his services in mobile banking and charity. Also in that year, he was appointed as a Business Ambassador to the Prime Minister for the financial services industry by the UK Government. Today, he still serves as the sole Business Ambassador to FinTech.

Lukies is also the non-executive chairman to Innovate Finance since its launch in 2014, which helps to support the UK’s FinTech ecosystem.

He was named as Entrepreneur of the Year in the 2011 Growing Business Awards.

In 2003, Lukies founded mobile banking, payments and commerce company Monitise. Three years after its foundation it was named as a ‘Technology Pioneer’ by the World Economic Forum. While serving as CEO he helped grow the company’s market cap to $2bn, employing 1500 staff across four continents.
